Picture Wednesday – Still There at South Bank


The skaters area at London’s South Bank became a legend in its own right. So much, that there was a huge outcry when the South Bank Centre proposed making retail units there. A non-profit organisation was established in 2013 to protect the area. It is called Long Live Southbank.

Eventually, they signed an agreement to preserve the spot, which creative street artists also use. I love the artwork below. Take a look!
