Picture Wednesday – Anthony Quinn as an Sculptor

I didn’t know that Anthony Quinn was such an accomplished artist. He is best known for his acting roles, but his fin arts studio was a serious practise. His sculptures are, funny enough, being exhibited in London in a different gallery than his son Lorenzo’s works. See tbe two sculptures below and be dazzled.

It was the back of these two artworks, a sculpture of a man’s and a woman’s bodies, that surprised me the most.

Just in case, the picture on the left is the front of the sculpture and the one on the right the back of it. This is the female.

This is the male version.

  2. I was aware that he was a sculptor but I hadn’t seen these two pieces. His work has always impressed me. You always want to say, “Really? Anthony Quinn, you say?”
