Love Has a Price in St Valentine’s Day

Yeah, St Valentine’s came and went to many people’s satisfaction, as far as I can tell. Love Has a Price in St Valentine's DayReasons vary – too many adverts, hearts and cupid arrows everywhere, lack of luck in love, etc. Two conflicting facts:

  1. Love has a price in St Valentine’s Day;
  2. People are lazy or need to be slightly pushed to show their feelings.

Whilst I find lovely that people make an effort, the price tag can be really high. Looking on the bright side of things, this could help boost our ailing economy, so that money circulates. Online retailers have found huge increases in the sales of certain items. In London, lingerie and alcohol tend to be really pricey in anyway, yet no one seems to care that much about it.

I have found this infographic on a well-known publication to give you an idea of what I mean. Oh, by the way, Easter bunnies and other things have been in the shops for some time now. No rest for the wicked!

How did you spent your St Valentine’s Day?
